The Next Steps
In order for this excellent student opportunity to move forward, we’ll need the approval of everyone involved and the program will need to be enthusiastically embraced by members of your student group, as well as the parents, the prospective chaperones and the school, if involved.
We suggest an early evening meeting, where Chinese Cultural Exchange representatives will present this proposal to students and parents. We will be happy to answer any questions and address any concerns at that time. At this meeting, we will distribute Trip Commitment Forms, which parents will need to sign and return to us a week later. We will also videotape the meeting so it can be played to parents who were unable to attend.
Please bear in mind that timing is critical in planning a trip of this nature. Not only will the Chinese Cultural Exchange need sufficient time to arrange for well-attended concerts in China, but the students and parents will need time to conduct fundraising for the cost of the trip, as well as secure the proper passports, visas and immunizations required.
